A Fun-Filled Family Vacation

Is it time again to look for new ideas for the family vacation? There are plenty of places to go and things to see. You might begin by making a list of activities that each member of the family has always wanted to do. As well, make a similar list of places each person has wanted to visit. When there is a consensus about where to go and what to see or do, you have a good start on planning your family vacation.. This article should help with a few more possibilities.

Remember the book "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe?" As of early December 2005, the movie will be out in cinemas, as well. That's right, the book has been adapted, and Walt Disney World is getting into the spirit of things with a new attraction, Narnia. This attraction will be in the MGM Theme Park at Disney and will feature many of the characters and scenes from the movie. It just may be the best family vacation (or part of it) this winter.

For those who want a warm climate family vacation, you might also consider Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo. These towns are at the very end of Mexico's Baja Peninsula and offer everything from beaches, fishing, margaritas for the parents, kayaking, snorkeling, and golf. With only twenty miles between these two sun-splashed towns, they are also not that far from La Paz, Mexico, Baja's reputed 'best kept secret.'

On the other side of North America are the Nickelodeon Family Suites in Orlando, Florida. This theme park, hosted by Holiday Inn, features characters from the popular cable television channel (i.e. Sponge-Bob Squarepants, etc.), games, two separate water parks, and even after-hours distractions for adults in the family. Overall, this attraction is an absolute feast of color for the eyes.

For something a little less expensive, consider the resorts in Eastern Mexico. These beautiful hotels have suffered due to recent hurricanes and are now offering cheaper rates especially aimed at family vacations. These include the great service and wonderful beaches that Mexico is steadily becoming more known for, coupled with scrumptious food that you'll never forget!

For those of you looking for a family vacation which can be enjoyed year-round, Smuggler's Notch in Vermont may just be for you. In the summer there is accommodation in the Smuggler's Notch standard condominiums. Close by are more pools (all heated) than you can count on two hands, including 3 children's pools. For the adventurous there is white water river-rafting which can be followed by a relaxing dip in one of the hot tubs .Waterslides, teen centers, tennis, and even child care all make for fun for everyone. Additionally, in the winter there is excellent skiing and snowboarding for all levels.

There are numerous things applicable to a fun, safe family vacation. A few other notable possible vacations include camping at national parks, road trips (which can be part of a more expansive vacation, of course), dude ranch adventures, trips to ghost towns and airplane "cemeteries," This is all just the tip of the proverbial iceberg as choices for family vacations are limited only by your interests and the funds you plan to spend.
